Coffee brews quickly and tastes wonderful. Just as expected from Krups. Would definitely recommend. Easy to use. very happy with it. Very nice-looking.
3) The customer service department is rude,non-responsive, and ineffective. 2) The replacement carafes are virtually impossible to find. I can not recommend this Krups coffeemaker (or any Krups coffeemaker) for 3 reasons. 1) The carafe is poor quality and breaks very easily.
It doesn't usually drip when you pour and it makes a sound when the coffee is ready.
We're using it; the coffee is still better than we got from an inexpensive Mr. The lid on the pot does not detach or open all the way, making it very difficult to fill or wash. The measurements on the pot do not match the measurements on the machine, and my left-handed husband doesn't appreciate the one-sided design. I'm sure I'm going to break the lid off one day, out of frustration.
When our old Krups died, I wanted a quick replacement. Coffee. And after two months, there is still an "overheated plastic" odor when making a full pot. Since we loved the coffee from that machine, I went ahead and purchased this machine without first checking out the reviews.
Pouring from a full pot is challenging; coffee dribbles everywhere. But I can't recommend it. Big mistake. I was able to put the pot from our old machine in the dishwasher, but with this design, there's no way.
Despite all the plugging, unplugging, dumping water out, etc., it's dead. This coffee machine also does not come with a reusable filter and requires a "duo" water filter, which is an additional ongoing expense. I bought this coffee maker about 8 months ago. In addition to not lasting long, the controls are difficult to figure out and the beeping noise that it makes is really obnoxious (although you can turn off the beep, the noise indicator resets itself to "on" everytime you unplug the machine, which I do every day). I did not notice any improvement in coffee taste when I used the duo filter.which oddly enough is made and sold only by Krups. Yesterday it stopped working. The indicator on the LCD panel is for the water sensor, saying that it is out of water (it is not).
